About

Woman.

African-American.

Millennial.

Blogger.

Christian.

Friend.

These are some of the identities that we carry around through our everyday lives, not realizing that we fail to acknowledge the most important one: Human. It is within this identity that we have the opportunity to experience life through the lens of flawed, majestic beings. As we uncover the many facets within the mind and spirit, we can begin to truly understand how unique and purposeful we really are.

It is here, through The Guided Millennial where we will celebrate:

Authenticity | Transformation | Transparency |

Self - Love & Forgiveness |

Proactive Thinking | Individuality |

I use this platform to express my thoughts, ideas and opinions on things that I experience within my personal life and the lives around me.

Everyone and everything is centered on making us feel good about our transgressions, trials and struggles, with promise that freedom is just what we imagined and more. I felt that the world praised the finish line, more than they described the journey. After years of receiving information on how to make it OUT , I realized I needed to know what it feels like to be IN IT, on the way out.

Thus, The Guided Millennial was born.

My posts will be raw and honest, encompassing my goofy personality and life’s journey, combined with my Christian principles and things I learn along the way. Everything I write is from the heart, through the lens of being guided by God through life’s many circumstances. At times, we will share uncomfortable spaces and be emotionally challenged and shifted. Through it all, we are here together.

I am not here to tell you what to do, I am just here to start the conversation: with friends, family, God and within.

My prayer is that everything you need to walk along this journey can be found here. We will share our truth’s, pain’s and pieces of peace.

Need some advice or a space to vent? Write in! Have any pieces of poetry or other forms of writing material? Send it in! We all have a story to tell and a gift to share and I would love to help you express it.

“I am just a woman. A Millennial. Guided. By what my eyes can’t see, but regardless I still believe.”
